I made it as a programming test for a job application.
This is a project that I worked on for a weekend, I made it as a programming test for a job application.
It consists of a game based on the classic “Space Invaders” game, when you have a ship that can move from side to side, and shoot the enemies that are coming from the sky, also you have barriers that protects you from the enemy attacks.
The game was programmed to be data-driven, so you can make levels in unity3D IDE, or write them on XML file to load inside the game.
In the XML you can change several variables, such as the speed of the enemies, the speed increase on each jump, the jump height… etc. As well as the enemy matrix itself, choosing how many columns, how many lines and the type of every single enemy.
As the test was for a programming job, the Art was not evaluated, so I caught it from the Internet.
